Salis was settled in his own home for several weeks before the seasons started to change and something called the Hallowed Haunt came to the area. Cerci of course dragged him and a few other friends with him to the event. Salis was getting used to Cerci waking him up a few hours before dawn and having some kind of strange adventure planned out for the day. He would often make tea and agree it sounded very lively before getting dragged along. Often times he felt out of place like an old man watching children play to hard. He still ended up going out with Cerci and Re’cura The other Jellicle got along with him well enough as they both had to remind Cerci to slow down at times and remember to eat and drink. It seemed the dancer friend Odette wasn’t coming today. Made sense. Likely post the fair the markets would be active and that meant silver for the dancer. He was more impressed that Cerci hadn’t ended up on drum duty as was normal for market days. Today must be Cerci’s day off to enjoy the fair so he was getting dragged along so he didn’t miss it. He packed some tea into a wooden twist and seal container to take with him.

The fair was busy and there were a lot of kitsu. He yawned and walked along side Re’curra while Cerci moved around from booth to booth looking at all the fun things. She and Re’curra tossed some bags at buckets and missed several times. He chuckled and offered his condolences until Cerci handing him a bag and he of course embarrassed herself by missing wider then either of them. Next up they bobbed for apples and he did well winning some candy that he found far too sweet and Cerci of course helped him by finishing it off for him. He liked sweet things but he preferred fruit sweet not candy sweet. And pickled things. He had a jar of pickled peppers that he was waiting for a few days until it got the perfect taste. He plodded along and at one point sat down on a wrapped haystack while Re’curra and Cerci were getting more food. There were several Wistella around the area and he always found listening to them bark a bit off like it shouldn’t be but it was. Still that just seemed a bit odd. They were generally a nice creature to pet and he found one near him that he stroked for a while just relaxing while it rubbed on him. He didn’t think much of it and when his friends came back he stood up and kept walking finishing up the fair and heeded back home not overly amazed by the fair but still he had a decent time. Perhaps it was because he kept missing something. Maybe he should listen to Re’curra and try some dates. The thought of that made his stomach tight though. Perhaps not that. Still the Hallowed Haunt this year was fun. Perhaps he would go back next year.
